Armagnac Box Guitar
The ABG is basically a CBG (Cigar Box Guitar) for drinkers.
Armagnac is a distinctive kind of brandy produced in the Armagnac region in Gascony, southwest France. ★
This box (including the brandy) came as a present to Herbert’s beloved wife from her father on the occasion of a birthday with a zero at the end. So, it was clear from the very beginning that this box would not end up in the dust bin or as firewood!
It is tuned in open G (GDGB), probably the best known tuning for the 4-string cigar box guitar and equipped with a custom hand wound magnetic pick-up.
