Big Fat Slider is a special form of acoustic lap steel guitar. At some point, while researching online, we came across an instrument called Lowebro: very cool 6-string lap steel guitars, beer can holder included, made somewhere in Texas by a guy named Mike Lowe. Excited and inspired we added 6 strings and finished a guitar that ended up being unplayable for us - the sound is great, though.
We have tried different tunings (E9 and C6), but yes, very challenging to play with no idea where to start. Alex would have given the box away long ago - thanks to the intercession of his dear wife, it has now even been reworked a bit - yes, it may stay.
☛ Is there perhaps someone in the Vienna/Austria area who can play something like this?
