Since we did not yet dare to make a guitar neck or even a fretboard ourselves, we bought a cheap western guitar in order to strip it mercilessly.
Fortunately, we realised early on that the acoustic guitar neck is actually much too long for a resonator guitar. At least the whole thing didn't fit our drawing anymore - something that is very hard to bear, especially for Alex★. So we started very early on to deceive ourselves about the scale length. Of course we found a solution and placed the whole resonator inside the body as far up as possible. This way the scale length fits again and is also the explanation why the copper cover reaches so close to the f-holes..
